Recent statements that we are running concentration camps at our Southern border have sparked explosions on this subject on social media. The conversation born of these statements, however, has been strange—especially amongst liberals. Is it wrong to use this term, they ask? Is using the term concentration camp, as I’ve heard some say, “insensitive” or even “stupid?”

First, from the mile-high view, it isn’t stupid. Even if much of the liberal conversation has devolved into arguments over semantics and base comparisons, at least the subject is back in the news. More articles are being written and shared. More pictures and stories are coming to light. …

Today I pulled up a video of a police confrontation on Youtube, and before I realized it was filmed in the U.K., I thought: the cops are going to shoot this man.

But then I realized it wasn’t filmed in the United States, and I felt better — this took place in England. With English police. And English police don’t normally carry guns.

In the video, police are seen responding to a belligerent, scary, giant-looking man wearing what looks like a huge fur coat. Oh, and he’s armed with a machete. The man is clearly having a psychotic episode, or high on PCP. But the video is imminently watchable. …

A statement I heard constantly in the months leading up to the 2016 election was: well, they’re both bad.

I think we all heard it—from friends, family, spouses, and people all over the political spectrum. In my experience, this statement often came packaged with some variation of a thought I found completely baffling: I can’t vote for Hilary, because the lesser of two evils is still evil.

The takeaway here is that choosing the lesser evil is still, in fact, evil, and it is always wrong to choose evil. …
